Geto Boys farewell tour

Geto Boys cancel farewell tour

Following the very sad news that Bushwick Bill of legendary texas rap group Geto Boys was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, the group announced a farewell tour, “The Beginning of a Long Goodbye: The Final Farewell.” It was to begin Friday night (5/24) at The Crofoot in Pontiac, MI, and stop at NYC’s Sony Hall on May 30, but TMZ is reporting that the tour is now off. According to them, sources “close to Bushwick Bill” said that he felt exploited for his cancer diganosis, and that the tour’s name made it sound “like he was on his deathbed.”

From TMZ:

Sources close to Bushwick Bill tell TMZ … he was not down with the tour because he felt organizers were piggybacking off his stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Specifically, he thought the title — The Beginning of a Long Goodbye: The Final Farewell — made it seem like he was on his deathbed.
