Occult rockers Ghost recently announced a tour and have been teasing a new album and a "new leader." Breaking the papal bloodline, Ghost will no longer be led by a Papa Emeritus but instead by Cardinal Copia. (In case you haven't been following along, it's still the same actual person behind the mask.) And their new album is now officially announced. It's called Prequelle and it comes out June 1 via Loma Vista. The first single is "Rats," which is a nice dose of Ghost's very catchy rock music, and it's ever so slightly a little more metal than they've been lately, with a brief black metal shriek in the chorus. The video is also classic Ghost, and very worth watching, as Ghost's theatrics are just as essential as the songs themselves.

As mentioned, Ghost's tour hits the NYC-area on May 15 at the Capitol Theater. It's billed as "An Evening With Ghost"(no opener). Tickets are still available.
