The new, much-anticipated Netflix episodes of Gilmore Girls finally have a release date: November 25, 2016. That's Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, for folks in America. The four mini movies, dubbed Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, were written and directed by original series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel Palladino, and nearly all of the show's cast (including Grant Lee-Phillips and Sebastian Bach) is back.

The announcement came with a short teaser trailer featuring Sam Phillips' recognizable "la la la" score and much pop culture-fueled banter between mom-and-daughter Lorelei and Rory, including talk of Amy Schumer, John Oliver and the infamous once-in-a-decade Corpse Flower (which is set to bloom any second in Brooklyn). It was shot just for this teaser (aka it won't be in an actual episode) and you can watch that below.

Fans in NYC, Williamsburg's Videology is doing Gilmore Girls trivia this Sunday, July 31 at 8 PM. It's free to attend and is hosted by the writer of this post you are reading now.
