Gogol Bordello’s Cap show is with Dave Hause (who also plays a Bouncing Souls pre-show)
Gogol Bordello are releasing their seventh album Seekers and Finders (which features Regina Spektor on a song) on August 25. The album announcement was accompanied by the revved-up lead single "Saboteur Blues," and Gogol since released the slower but still anthemic "Walking on the Burning Coal." You can watch the lyric video for that song below.
As mentioned, the band are touring too, including a NYC-area show at Capitol Theatre (8/26) the day after the album comes out (tickets). Since we last posted, Dave Hause & the Mermaid were added as openers to that show, making for a solid double bill. Also, if you're looking to go to the Port Chester show from NYC, you can pre-order the album at the Rough Trade store in Brooklyn to receive a ticket for the shuttle bus going from NYC to the Capitol Theatre.
Gogol also play the stacked Riot Fest in September. The set times were recently revealed, and Gogol unfortunately overlap with Beastie Boy Mike D's DJ set. Gogol also added more shows through December. Updated tour dates are listed below.
Dave Hause & the Mermaid, who released Bury Me In Philly earlier this year on Rise Records, are also opening Beach Slang's tour, including their show at NYC's Irving Plaza on November 29 (tickets).
Dave Hause also plays an official pre-show for The Bouncing Souls' Stoked for the Summer show in Asbury Park. The show's on August 24 at House of Independents and also includes Jared Hart of the Scandals. Pete Steinkopf of The Souls is DJing. Tickets are on sale. All Dave Hause dates are listed below.
In one more bit of related news, the Gogol Bordello-related Hey Guy are playing NYC's Bowery Electric on August 17 with The Killing Floor, Vansaders and Hey Zeus (tickets).
