Google presenting multi-city GOODFest which kicks off in NYC this week with Preservation Hall Jazz Band & more

GOODFest is a new, Google-presented festival going down imminently. Not exactly a typical festival, it’s essentially a collection of five shows in different cities meant to “inspire action and optimism around five causes.” The fest kicks off in NYC on Tuesday, November 29 at BAM Cafe with a theme of “Generosity” and performances from Preservation Hall Jazz Band with Shilpa Ray, and Glass Animals. Tickets are on sale now and it will also be livestreamed.

After that, the fest moves to New Orleans on December 9 with Gogol Bordello joined by Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, and then Seattle on December 12 with D.R.A.M.There are also TBA shows in LA and San Francisco. Check out full details on the other two shows, and the fest trailer, below.

GOODFest — 2016 Lineup
Generosity: Glass Animals, Preservation Hall (Nov. 29, New York, N.Y.)– Preservation Hall and guest vocalist Shilpa Ray will open followed by an intimate performance by Glass Animals at BAM Cafe. The evening will be emceed by Madame Ghandi.

Humanity: Gogol Bordello (Dec. 9, New Orleans, La.) – Gogol Bordello will play with Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs creating a one-off orchestration at The Music Box Village. 100 percent of proceeds from ticket sales with benefit the Equal Justice Initiative which is committed to ending mass incarceration and challenging racial and economic injustice.

Earth: D.R.A.M. (Dec. 12, Seattle, Wash.)– D.R.A.M. will play Neumo’s. The evening will be emceed by Hollis Wong-Wear.
