
Gorillaz documentary ‘Reject False Icons’ screening worldwide on one night only
Gorillaz document the making (and touring in support of) their last two albums, 2017's Humanz and 2018's The Now Now, in a new documentary film, Gorillaz: Reject False Icons. Directed by Jamie Hewlett's son Denholm Hewlett, False Icons features appearances from guests on Gorillaz's last two albums, including Vince Staples, Jean-Michel Jarre, De La Soul, DRAM, Pusha T, Little Simz, Yasiin Bey, Graham Coxon, Danny Brown, Kelela, Jehnny Beth, Mavis Staples, Noel Gallagher, and "never-seen footage, where the virtual meets the real - to capture the wondrous chaos of life under the watchful eye of Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, Russel Hobbs and 2D."
The film will screen at cinemas worldwide on one night only, December 16, 2019. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, November 27 at rejectfalseicons.com, and theater details are still to come.
