Gorillaz new album The Now Now is out in a month (June 29) and they've just shared the first single "Humility" which features jazz/R&B/disco great George Benson. The track premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show and Damon Albarn stopped by to talk about the single and the new album. Damon says most of the record was written while on tour in America and that it was produced by James Ford (who produced the new Arctic Monkeys LP and is half of Simian Mobile Disco.) For those who felt like last year's Humanz had too many guest stars, Damon told Zane that Benson and Snoop Dogg & Jamie Principle (on "Hollywood") are the only features this time out. "I thought I should make a record where I'm just singing for once." Check out "Humility" and The Now Now's tracklist below.

The group have also announced a short North American tour which includes a NYC stop at Barclays Center on October 13 which is with The Internet who are on most of the dates. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, June 8 at 10 AM with various presales beginning June 1 at 10 AM.

UPDATE: BrooklynVegan has a presale for the Barclays show running June 7 from 10 AM to 10 PM. Password is here.

The tour culminates with a Los Angeles edition of their Demon Dayz festival, happening at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena & Grounds on October 20 and will feature "special guests and collaborators from within and beyond the Gorillaz extended family." Stay tuned for details.

Damon also said that the new The Good The Bad and The Queen album is nearly done, too. "It’s been a fantastic year so far," said Damon. "Been in South Africa, did a album with amazing artists and then did The Now Now and then The Good, the Bad & the Queen so it’s a lot of music coming out, so there’s a lot of music coming out. I hope I've sort of been good with my editing, otherwise everyone is going to be sick of what I do." You can listen to the interview below.
