Greg Ashley, formerly of Texas band The Gris Gris, released new album Pictures of Saint Paul Street over the summer on the Trouble in Mind label, a lovely record in the late '60s / early '70s singer-songwriter style, full of detuned piano, vintage synths, acoustic guitars, sun-dappled melodies and thoughtful lyrics. You can also catch Greg on tour this fall, and he's got two NYC-area shows: November 2 at WFMU Monty Hall in Jersey City with Black Flamingos and headiners The Woggles (tickets) and a TBA NYC show on November 3. All tour dates are listed below.
