Grizzly Bear began their Brooklyn Steel run with serpentwithfeet (pics, setlist)
Grizzly Bear are on tour now in support of their great new album Painted Ruins, and the once-entirely-Brooklyn-based band began a sold-out three-night run in the borough that birthed them last night (11/2) at Brooklyn Steel. They played about half of the new album, and older faves "Two Weeks," "While You Wait for the Others," "Ready, Able," "Sleeping Ute," "Yet Again," "Knife," and more, and they reached back to Horn of Plenty for "Shift" during the encore. As he'll do the next two nights too, orchestral R&B artist serpentwithfeet opened. Pictures are in the gallery above and Grizzly Bear's setlist is below.
The run continues tonight (11/3) and wraps up Saturday (11/4), and, again, both shows are sold out. UPDATE: That's a wrap. Night 3 review and setlist HERE.
