Grizzly Bear‘s first album in five years, Painted Ruins, drops this Friday (8/18) via RCA. The band began their tour in support of it at Portland, ME’s State Theatre last night (8/14), their first proper show since 2014 (not counting the Bernie Sanders rally they played last year). As Stereogum points out, they played a lot of the new album at last night’s show, including three songs that haven’t been released yet: the jittery “Losing All Sense,” the folky “Glass Hillside,” and “Systole,” the first Grizzly Bear song with lead vocals by Chris Taylor (who also sang lead in CANT). You can watch fan-shot videos of “Losing All Sense” and “Glass Hillside” and check out the setlist from last night’s show, below. Ed Droste also said on stage that Freaks & Geeks/Cougar Town star Busy Philipps  (who was at last night’s show) will star in an upcoming video for “Losing All Sense.”

Grizzly Bear’s tour next hits BSP in Kingston, NY tonight (8/15) and Wednesday (8/16), which Delicate Steve opens (tickets). Then there’s a sold-out show at NYC’s very intimate Public Arts space on August 23, a few days after the album comes out.

Their proper North American tour, which has the great serpentwithfeet opening, begins in November. That show already included two sold-out shows at Brooklyn Steel, and they’ve now added a third night at Brooklyn Steel on November 4. Tickets go on sale Friday (8/18) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (8/16) at noon, and “$1 from every ticket sold goes to support HeadCount working to promote civic engagement, and inform and register young voters.” Updated dates are listed below.

Grizzly Bear also just released a new music video for “Mourning Sound,” which was directed by Beatrice Pegard and stars Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows, 127 Hours). The video is a little NSFW, featuring a part where rainbows shoot out of nipples, and the band calls it “a playful, pastel-drenched commentary on women’s liberation.” Watch below.

Grizzly Bear will also perform on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Thursday (8/17).
