Grrrl Fest happening in NYC w/ Potty Mouth, Shellshag, more

Grrrl Fest is a 6 hour benefit celebrating young women in the arts. This event will create a platform so that young women can be heard, inspired and empowered.
Crafts, Music, Dancing, Book Sale, Art Sale, Zine Sale, T-Shirt Making, African Beading, Button Making, Zine Workshop, Glitter Tattoos, Hair Braiding, Tarot Card Reading, Spoken Word…..and much, much more.
We already mentioned that Potty Mouth‘s tour with Fleabite would hit NYC on June 14 at Silent Barn (603 Bushwick Ave), and since we last spoke it was announced that their show is actually part of the the all-day Grrrl Fest. Other good bands are playing that too, including Swearin’, Palehound, Shellshag and more. Advance tickets are available. Full lineup and more info below.
UPDATE: Though they are listed on Grrrl Fest’s Facebook event and on the flyer, we’re being told that Swearin’ are not in fact playing the show.
UPDATE 2 (5/19): A previous version of the post said that Potty Mouth were playing Grrrl Fest and the late aftershow but it’s since been cleared up that the day and night portion is all one show with Potty Mouth on last at 10:15 PM. Set times below.
Swearin’ do have an upcoming tour which begins with a FREE NYC show this weekend at Brooklyn Night Bazaar (5/17) with related band Radiator Hospital, melodic local punks Aye Nako and Even Hand. All of their dates, including other shows with Potty Mouth, are listed below.
