Guided by Voices have a new video for "Low Flying Perfection" from the band's most recent album, How Do You Spell Heaven. The video was directed by Sean Cannon and Chris Witzke who, much like Werner Herzog, use the epic struggle of man-vs-nature as a theme. "The narrative for this video hit me all at once, with most of the scenes fully formed in my head," says Sean. "You don't always get that lucky. I realized pretty quickly the visuals would match the intensity, immediacy, and intimacy of 'Low Flying Perfection.' We rushed out to the woods armed with nothing but a camera and an ax." Guided by Voices will be in NYC on Saturday (9/9) to play the craft-beer-and-indie-rock extravaganza OctFest with Built to Spill, Okkervil River, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Sadies, and Kilo Kish (tickets). They've also got dates in October -- all are listed below.
