GWAR

GWAR announce tour with Ghoul, Doyle & more, playing NYC on Halloween

GWAR‘s first album since 2013 (and first since Oderus Urungus died), The Blood of Gods, will be out on October 20 via Metal Blade. According to a press release, “the title of the album refers to the loss of Oderus.” The press release also points out that Sleazy P, Martini, the band’s “crooked entrepreneur” of a manager (you know the one) “finally managed to convince the group to write a hit song” with “I’ll Be Your Monster.” “If all goes according to plan, it may be just stupid enough to work!”

GWAR recently wrapped up a stint on Warped Tour, and they’ve now announced a headlining tour, with Ghoul and US Bastards on all dates. There’s also a run with additional support from Doyle of the Misfits and another with He Is Legend.

The run with Doyle includes a NYC show at Irving Plaza on Halloween. (Is there a better night to see GWAR??) Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/18) at 10 AM with Live Nation/Music Geeks presales starting Thursday (8/17) at 10 AM.

VIP packages for the whole tour go on sale Friday at 10 AM, and include access to soundcheck, invitation to play an instrument on stage at soundcheck, a souvenir signed by members of GWAR, and more.

GWAR also play Riot Fest, which just announced aftershows today. All GWAR dates are listed below.
