“‘Medicine Square Garden’ is not your typical single,” says My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero. “It’s a five and a half minute attempt at answering the question, ‘What if Prince wrote a Sleep song?'” The new single, from Frank and his band The Future Violents‘ debut album, also nods to a lot of ’80s rock, and the video pays homage to Robert Palmer, aerobicizing and more. Frank Iero and The Future Violents’ Barriers is out now. Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance’s North American leg of thier reunion tour is set to start in September…if things are back to normal enough by then.
