Hans Zimmer @ Radio City Music Hall night 1 (pics, video)
Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is mixing Hollywood spectacle and arena rock razzle dazzle on his current tour, which features him leading an orchestra and choir that also has a rock band within it (including Johnny Marr’s son, Nile, on guitar). Zimmer is no slouch on guitar (or banjo), either, as he proved at Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday night (7/25), the first of two nights at the iconic NYC venue. The show includes portions of his scores to The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Gladiator and more, set to trippy projections. Hans and his very big band do it again at Radio City tonight (7/26) and tickets are still available.
