Harlem Arts Festival

Harlem Arts Festival 2017 schedule

The 6th annual Harlem Arts Festival happens next week, Friday, June 23 through Sunday, June 25, in Marcus Garvey Park at the Richard Rodgers amphitheater. The nonprofit festival features “local creatives in music, art, dance, writing, theater, and more.”

As far as the music goes, there’s a VIP Opening Night Party on Friday with DJ J.PERIOD, and maybe the biggest highlight for readers of this website is Prodigy of Mobb Deep on Saturday. He plays with trumpeter Maurice Brown and keyboardist Marcy Cary’s Short Circuit.

Other musicians performing include Petros Klampanis Group, Stephanie Mckay and the Call, Scott Sharrard & the Brickyard Band, “King” Solomon Hicks, Brady Wayy and the Lifetronics, Aida Brandes, Greg Tate’s Burnt Sugar Arkestra, Shacar, and Kennedy Administration.

Check out the FULL SCHEDULE. You need tickets for the opening night party. Saturday and Sunday are free with RSVP (and you can also make a donation when you RSVP).
