Hawkwind reschedule North American tour dates for 2014
Hawkwind had to postpone their 2013 North American Tour due to health concerns with member Dave Brock, but the band will be making up those dates in March. While they haven’t made a full rescheduled tour announcement, many of the dates have popped up, including the new NYC one which will happen on March 16 at Gramercy Theatre. Tickets to that show are on sale now.
The tour is a celebration of their 1975 prog classic Warrior on the Edge of Time and they’ll be playing it in full. (Stream that LP via YouTube below.) You may remember that former Hawkwind hornblower Nik Turner was in NYC playing Hawkwind songs with his band Space Ritual in NYC earlier this month. And another former Hawkmind member, Lemmy Kilmister, also recently cancelled Motorhead’s tour due to health reasons.
