Paramore's Hayley Williams' debut solo album Petals For Armor officially comes out May 8 via Atlantic, but she's been breaking the release up into a series of EPs. The five-song Petals For Armor I came out in February, and Hayley has been dropping more singles since then, and now Petals For Armor II is out today, with new song "Dead Horse" plus the previously released "My Friend," "Over Yet," Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris" (ft. boygenius), and "Why We Ever." Hayley still has a third part coming too. She says:

PFA ll is the perfect interlude between where PETALS began and where it’s going.... Part lll isn’t far behind. I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms, and discover what I desire for my life.

The latest single, “Dead Horse,” offers strength back to a younger, weaker version of myself. I feel like all of this needed to be said in order to embody the kind of woman I hope to be.

All the songs Hayley's released have been noticeably different from each other, and this one kinda finds her going in an '80s reggae-pop direction, a sound she's very good at. Check out both full EPs below and stay tuned for more.

Meanwhile, Paramore are among the 60+ acts taking part in this weekend's virtual PlayOn Fest. Hayley has also been doing some solo quarantine performances, including Phoebe Bridgers and Tegan & Sara covers, and a performance of "Why We Ever" from PFA II. Watch that below too.
