HEALTH Vol 4 Slaves of Fear

HEALTH announce new album & 2019 tour, share "SLAVES OF FEAR"

It’s been a long three-plus years since HEALTH released their great 2015 album Death Magic, which took their noise pop roots into industrial territory, resulting in their catchiest songs yet and some of their heaviest. They started following Death Magic this year with a series of very different collaborative singles — “MASS GRAVE” with Soccer Mommy and Corin Roddick (of Purity Ring), “BODY/PRISON” with Perturbator, and “INNOCENCE” with Youth Code — and now HEALTH finally announced a new album. It doesn’t include those three songs, but it does include the newly-released “SLAVES OF FEAR” which is a very promising first taste. It’s got some truly heavy blasts of noise, but it’s also got Jake Duzsik’s vocals sounding as bright and boyish as ever. It’s a very exciting clash of sounds, and you can listen and watch the Zev Deans-directed video below.

The album is called VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR and it comes out February 8 via Loma Vista (pre-order). It was produced by longtime collaborator Lars Stalfors.

HEALTH recently announced a small pre-release show happening at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Zone One on 1/23, which is now sold out, and they’ve now announced a much more extensive tour including the larger Elsewhere Hall on April 25. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 14 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
