
Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw) lists her favorite albums of 2022
Heather Trost of A Hawk and a Hacksaw released a new album, Desert Flowers, via Ba Da Bing in November. She recorded it mostly in her home studio, and called her A Hawk and a Hacksaw bandmate Jeremy Barnes integral to its creation, saying, "This album wouldn’t sound the way it does without his wonderfully discerning and courageous ear."
"Maybe these songs are a bit like desert flowers," she continued, "pushing their way towards the sun, and in turn searching and pushing roots deep into the ground for water. As above, so below, the light and the dark, extroverted and introverted, color and monochrome." Stream Desert Flowers below.
