UK synthpop vets Heaven 17, led by former Human League member Martyn Ware, have played NYC and L.A. back in 2017 which were their first-ever US shows. The group have now announced their "first proper" North American tour which will have them over in May, playing Chicago, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, Pawling (NY), NYC, and Boston. The tour is called the "We Don't Need This Fascist Groove Thang," named for their great 1981 single and seems appropriate in this presidential election year.

The NYC show happens May 17 at Le Poisson Rouge and tickets go on sale Friday, February 7 at 10 AM. Heaven 17 will be in Los Angeles next weekend for the ’80s Weekend #9 that also features Violent Femmes, Wang Chung, A Flock of Seagulls, The Romantics, Missing Persons, Big Country, Dramarama, China Crisis and, for some reason, MC Hammer (who you may have seen in a Super Bowl Commercial last night).
