Brian Fallon

here's what The Gaslight Anthem's Brian Fallon is listening to in quarantine

The Gaslight Anthem frontman and prolific solo artist Brian Fallon released his new solo album Local Honey earlier this year on Lesser Known/Thirty Tigers, and he would’ve been supporting it on tour with Worriers and Justin Townes Earle had the pandemic not hit. Meanwhile, he’s been keeping busy with his “Sitting Round At Home” livestream series, where he and another songwriter chat about music and play some songs. You can watch recent editions with Dashboard Confessional, Manchester Orchestra, and more here.

We also asked Brian what music he’s been listening to in quarantine, and he made us a playlist with Ida Mae (who were recently on “Sitting Round At Home”), Lilly Hiatt (ditto), Laura Stevenson, Nina Simone, Frank Ocean, Blind Willie Johnson, Emmylou Harris, Jarvis Cocker, Miranda Lambert, Great Grandpa, and more.

He says, “These are the songs I’ve been listening to during the quarantine around the house. Mostly, I try to listen to things that help me learn something I’m studying musically (I’ve reentered a few music classes and lessons during the time.) or songs that I find help quiet my mind. So here’s a mix of both. Maybe some you’ve heard, and perhaps some are new that you might like as well. I hope this finds everyone well.”
