Spanish band Hinds took a break from recording their second album to come to America and play a free, Steve Madden presented show at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Monday (5/22). They treated the crowd to a song off the new album that they said hadn’t been played outside the studio and, it being a Hinds show, there was lots of crowd surfing and a mini-stage invasion. They also hung out at the merch table to talk to fans after the show. Pictures from the night are in the above gallery.

Opening the show were Wooing, the new-ish band from former Supercute! and Prettiots singer Rachel Trachtenburg that also includes Rosie Slater (who was also in Supercute!) and guitarist JR Thomason. The band have a seven-song cassette out now — angsty, loud-quiet-loud style indie rock — and you can stream the whole thing below. Wooing have also been playing a May residency at Pianos which wraps up Wednesday (5/24) with Kleenex Girl Wonder, The Pendulum Swings, Rich Girls, and Sam Seeger (tickets).
