Hit Bargain are a self-described “queencore” band (“an intersection of queer, queening and hardcore”) who are based out of L.A. but feature members from a number of defunct NYC bands: Nora Singh (aka Anna Barie of These Are Powers, Knife Skills) Mike Barron (North Highlands, Bennio Qwerty), and Anton Hochheim (Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Degeneration Guild, Ablebody). The group’s debut EP came out back in the spring — six fiery in(on?)-your-face cuts of ripping, danceable punk. You can stream it, and a remix of the EP’s lead cut “The Circuits That Cannot Be Cut,” below.

The group are on a short Northeaast tour this week with DJ Freddy Nightliker (who did that remix mentioned above) that wraps up at Brooklyn’s The Glove on Saturday, November 12 with Weeping Icon. That show is $8 at the door. All dates, which include stops in Baltimore, Philly, and Middletown, CT, are listed below.
