William Fussell, who you may remember from Mood Rings and Promise Keeper, is now making music as Honey Harper. While there is a still a dreamlike element to what he's doing, with Honey Harper he's exploring sad, lonesome, country-inspired sounds, that owe a little to Cowboy Junkies, Acetone and Mazzy Star. Honey Harper's debut EP, Universal Country, came out earlier this year via Montreal's Arbutus Records and it's gorgeous stuff, pining for the stars with pedal-steel led arrangements. Honey Harper will be on a short Northeast tour this month, including a show at Brooklyn's Union Pool on December 14 (tickets). There are also shows in Los Angeles, Montreal and Toronto. All dates are listed below.
