Hot Snakes share new single "I Shall Be Free," touring
Hot Snakes are releasing a series of four 7″ singles leading up to their next record (details TBA). Here’s the Spring installment, “I Shall Be Free,” which leads in with a little dubby melodica before bludgeoning you with a crushing riff. Rick Froberg and the rest of the band sound majorly energized here and the video was animated by Tiger Reis, the 13-year-old offspring of the band’s Swami John Reis. Watch that below.
As mentioned, Hot Snakes are playing the 2020 edition of Chicago venue Empty Bottle’s annual winter outdoor charity concert Music Frozen Dancing on February 22 (as well as the afterparty), which kicks off a short tour that hits Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle, Portland and more.
