Earlier this year we briefly gave a shoutout to Hurry, the other band of Everyone Everywhere‘s Matt Scottoline, who have since announced that they’ll release a new record, Everything/Nothing, on October 7 via Hot Green Records (who also put out Hop Along’s Get Disowned). While Everyone Everywhere make a kind of indie/emo akin to Death Cab, Promise Ring, Piebald, etc, Hurry make fuzz pop that sounds more along the lines of PAWS or the first Yuck album, other contemporary bands who have rolled up their Weezer, Dinosaur Jr and Superchunk influences into a distortion-coated ’90s love letter. Its new single, “I Won’t Wait” premieres in this post. Listen, along with previous single “Oh Whitney,” below.

The band’s only upcoming date at the moment is in their hometown of Philly on November 15 at First Unitarian Church, which is the Restorations record release show, and features a killer all-Philly lineup of Cayetana and Three Man Cannon (ex-Tigers Jaw). If you’ll be in Philly for that, you can grab tickets now.
