Husker Du

Eighties midwest punk greats Hüsker Dü have launched an official website this week. It's a merch store but the "official" part has fueled all sorts of reunion gossip. The band's 1987 flame-out was particularly acrimonious with no love lost between Grant Hart and Bob Mould, but the Minneapolis Star Tribune talked to bassist Greg Norton (a chef these days) who said "There's ongoing communication between the three of us now." If J. Mascis and Lou Barlow can hug it out, anything's possible? (If still highly unlikely.) What this hopefully means, however, is a possibility of remastered/expanded editions of Hüsker Dü's SST output which is long overdue. Stay tuned.
