Iggy Pop & Jarvis Cocker cover Nick Cave's "Red Right Hand" (listen)

Robert Viglasky

BBC/Netflix period crime drama Peaky Blinders used Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ “Red Right Hand” as its theme song for its debut season, and they’ve gotten different artists to cover the song for subsequent seasons. (Arctic Monkeys did S2; PJ Harvey did S3). For the forthcoming fourth season they’ve gotten Iggy Pop and Jarvis Cocker to collaborate on a cover and they definitely put their own spin on it — it’s more Iggy than Jarvis, who almost plays hype man here. You can stream that, and listen to the other versions of the song (and Nick’s 1994 orginal), below.

Peaky Blinders, which stars Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy and deals with the titular crime gang who ruled the streets in Birmingham, England in the years following WWII, will have its season 4 premiere on Netflix on December 21. Watch the trailer, below.
