Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Phoebe Bridgers & more playing 2020 Tibet House benefit

The 2020 edition of the annual Tibet House Benefit happens February 26 at Carnegie Hall and they’ve just announced the lineup. Once again curated by Philip Glass, most of the initial lineup are artists who have appeared before: Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Laurie Anderson, Bettye LaVette, and Margo Price, plus Jesse Paris SmithMatt Berninger (The National have played this before) and first-timer Phoebe Bridgers (surely she and Matt will do “Walking on a String”). Also on the bill: the Scorchio Quartet, and Tenzin Choegyal who collaborated with Laurie Anderson and Jesse Paris Smith on Songs for Bardo which is based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead.

Tickets for the 2020 Tibet House Benefit are on sale now, and there are special gala packages available via Tibet House as well. More performers are still to be announced, stay tuned.
