Interpol announce new LP & tour, playing MSG & Hollywood Bowl (listen to "The Rover")

Interpol have announced new album, Marauder, which comes out August 24 via Matador. The band worked with Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT) on this one and you can listen to first single “The Rover” below. The news came via a press conference in Mexico City which you can watch below.

The band will also be touring, including some big, high profile shows: Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 4 with The Kills and Sunflower Bean, and NYC’s Madison Square Garden on February 16 with Car Seat Headrest and Snail Mail. Tickets for the MSG show go on sale Friday, June 15 at 10 AM but you can get them early with the BrooklynVegan presale that starts Thursday, June 14 at 10 AM. Check back the morning of the 14th for presale password.

Before that, Interpol will play Brooklyn’s House of Vans in August, and Chicago’s Riot Fest in September. All dates are listed below.

Snail Mail play Brooklyn tonight and will open for Alvvays in September.
