Interpol are currently working on their upcoming sixth LP, but for now they've shared a new mini-documentary chronicling the band's experiences touring Turn on the Bright Lights for its 15th anniversary last year (which included a memorable hometown show at Forest Hills Stadium). The video features live footage from their tour stop in Mexico City, and features interviews with each of the band's members. Throughout the documentary, the band recalled their memories making the album, where guitarist Daniel Kessler expressed his satisfaction at how well the album's structure flowed as an engaging live setlist, and how well the album has aged over the years. In addition, drummer Sam Fogarino revealed he felt fatigued touring the album in full, but admitted, "as soon as you hear the crowd, before you even get on stage, that changes." You can view the mini-doc in full, and watch the band perform "NYC" on Last Call with Carson Daly back in 2003, below.
Interpol will be playing one of the last-ever House of Vans Brooklyn shows on August 24, with RSVPs opening August 15. Opener(s) TBA. The band will also be appearing at many European festivals later this year. All dates are listed below.
