Iranian-born Dutch artist Sevdaliza preps debut LP, touring in May

Iranian-born, Dutch artist Sevdaliza combines a brand of minimalistic triphop with detailed visual artistry, which is clear in her music videos. (She’s been compared to both Bjork and FKA twigs.) Sevdaliza is putting the finishing touches on her debut album, ISON, which is coming out later this year, and recently shared the album art — featuring a hyperrealistic mask of Sevdaliza’s face, created by sculptor Sarah Sitkin — and new track “Hubris,” which you can stream it below.

Sevdalisa also put out a track called “That Other Girl,” with a surreal 3D companion video that’s garnered some early attention for the artist. A remix of the track, titled “That Damaged Girl,” features A$AP Ferg. Check that out, along with a few other Sevdalisa tracks, below.

She also has tour dates in Europe and the U.S. coming up in May, including a show at NYC’s The Studio at Webster Hall on May 25. UPDATE: due to “unforseen circumstances,” the show has been rescheduled to June 21. Tickets are on sale now.
