Iron Chic signed to SideOneDummy (home of PUP, Jeff Rosenstock, The '59 Sound, and more) back in February 2016 and promised a new album for that fall. Fall came and went, then winter, then spring, and summer is almost over, and now Iron Chic have finally announced the followup to 2013's great The Constant One (on Bridge 9). The new album is called You Can't Stay Here and it drops on October 13 via their new label home (pre-order). The first single is "My Best Friend (Is A Nihilist)," which has Iron Chic doing what they do best. It's raspy-voiced punk of the Hot Water Music variety, but with a melodic jangle in the background that you might expect from Gin Blossoms fans like Iron Chic. Watch the video below and keep an ear out for that classic Iron Chic moment where Jason Lubrano sings "I’ve been asleep for half my life but I’m awake now" just as the band comes bulldozing back in.

Iron Chic have tour dates coming up, including a run opening for Propagandhi, a run opening for The Movielife, and an appearance at The Fest.

The run with Propagandhi includes the Brooklyn show on October 20 at Warsaw (tickets). Before the tour starts and before the album is out, the Long Island band also have a headlining hometown show on September 19 at Amityville Music Hall. All dates are listed below.
