Irreversible Entanglements

Irreversible Entanglements share song, opening Jaimie Branch's NYC album release show

Free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements (who count Moor Mother as a member) have followed their 2017 debut album with a new 23-minute song. “As with the session for our first album, we began this session by just setting studio levels and hitting that record button… no script, no plan,” the band says. The song gets right into a groove, and it goes through all kinds of appealing changes after that. Check it out below. The band also has a new album coming in 2020.

Meanwhile, Irreversible Entanglements are also opening Jaimie Branch‘s NYC release show for her excellent 2019 album FLY or DIE II: bird dogs of paradise, which haappens at Pioneer Works on Monday (12/16) (tickets). That’s one of three upcoming shows for Jaimie, who also plays Chicago a few days later and Big Ears Festival in 2020. More info on her shows here. Stream her album below too.
