Italian post-rockers Stearica celebrate 20th anniversary with 20 min song (listen)

Italian post-rockers Stearica formed their band in 1997 (though they didn’t release an album until ten years later), and over the years they’ve collaborated with Acid Mothers Temple, Dalek, Colin Stetson, Ryan Patterson (Coliseum), Scott McCloud (Girls Against Boys, Soulside), and others. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, they have recorded a new song that’s 20 minutes and 20 seconds long called “20YRS.” It features Eros Giuggia on sax and Franz Goria from Fluxus on vocals, and it really takes you on a trip through its lengthy running time. It’s far more colossal than your average post-rock song, and fans of this kind of stuff should definitely dig in. It’ll be out as a digital single on Friday (11/24) via Monotreme Records (pre-order) and a stream premieres below.

Stearica have two upcoming shows, including an Italy show with Scott McCloud and Franz Goria as special guests.
