Fair or not, Jack White can come off like a curmudgeon, but evidently this past Saturday was the greatest day of his life. That’s what he told the crowd at Chicago club Metro, according to radio station XRT, after the baseball fanatic hung out at Wrigley Field and got to change the scoreboard when Anthony Rizzo scored a home run. He got to keep a number too.

Closing out one of Lolla's main stages Sunday, he was still in a sentimental mood. About a half hour in, White talked about his last performance at Lolla, and just as he was about to take the stage, his six-year-old daughter Scarlett started tugging at the back of his shirt, and was fishing through a box for something. She gave him a guitar pick — the same pick he used Sunday to play "We're Going to be Friends," dedicated to her and her brother, with extra keys turning the White Stripes charmer into lullaby.

That very sweet moment aside, White was clearly in a fiery spirit. He squealed and shredded his way through the dizzying baroque rocker "Over and Over and Over" from this year's "Boarding House Reach," and joined in with his keyboardist for a saloon-ready rendition of the White Stripes' "Hotel Yorba." The set may not have been greatest day of your life-worthy, but it was a solid way for Lollapalooza to wrap up. [Journal Sentinel]

The 2018 edition of Lollapalooza wrapped up on Sunday (8/5) with a headlining set from Jack White. Like when we caught him earlier this summer at Governors Ball, he started his set with Boarding House Reach standout "Over and Over and Over," and mixed in White Stripes and Raconteurs songs with his solo material from there. Check out pictures from Jack's Lollapalooza set in the gallery above, and find the setlist and a few video clips below (including video of Jack changing the scoreboard at Wrigley Field).

Stay tuned for more Lollapalooza Sunday coverage, and catch up with our pictures from Thursday HERE, Friday HERE, and Saturday HERE.
