Jack White shares "Connected by Love" & "Respect Commander" off new LP

After teasing it, Jack White has announced his new album which is indeed titled Boarding House Reach and will be released via Third Man/Columbia. (It’s his first since 2014’s Lazaretto.) While he hasn’t announced the release date, he has shared two songs from the album — “Connected by Love,” which is the official first single, and “Respect Commander.” Both songs are out now as a 7″ single. You can check those out, along with the video for “Connected by Love,” below.

Jack made the new album at Sear Sound in New York City, Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, and Third Man Studio in Nashville. It’s the first time he’s ever made an album in NYC or LA. His band for this album includes Louis Cato (Beyoncé, Q-Tip, John Legend), bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), synthesizer player DJ Harrison, keyboardist Neal Evans (Soulive, Talib Kweli, John Scofield), percussionist Bobby Allende (David Byrne), and backing vocalists Ann & Regina McCrary of Nashville gospel trio, The McCrary Sisters.

While Jack hasn’t announced a tour, he will headline festivals Shaky Knees, Boston Calling and Governors Ball.
