Jake Ewald’s (Slaughter Beach Dog, Modern Baseball) top 10 albums of 2018
With Modern Baseball on hiatus, co-frontman Jake Ewald has been dedicating his time to his Slaughter Beach, Dog project (which also features MoBo bassist Ian Farmer), which has really become a force of its own, as we experienced when we caught them in Brooklyn earlier this year. They didn't release an album this year (they mostly stayed busy touring in continued support of their late-2017 release Birdie), but they do have a 12" vinyl repress of their 2017 EP Motorcycle.jpg coming out this Friday (12/7) via Lame-O Records (pre-order).
Meanwhile, we asked Jake what his favorite albums of the year were, and he sent a list that includes fellow indie-punk acts like Hop Along, The Sidekicks and Three Man Cannon, as well as some hip hop like Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt and Tierra Whack, and more. Check out his full list below.
In related news, check out Modern Baseball drummer (and Steady Hands frontman) Sean Huber's top 10 albums of 2018.
