James Chance, Ian Svenonius & lots more playing Jonathan Toubin’s rooftop “Soul Scream” summer series
Jonathan Toubin will be throwing "Soul Scream" parties every Sunday night this summer on the rooftop of Bushwick's Our Wicked Lady from May 26 - September 1. It's a pretty great lineup of music, too, including James Chance & The Contortions, Public Practice, Hank Wood & The Hammerheads, Ian Svenonius' Escape-Ism, Kyp Malone's Ice Balloons, Baby Shakes, Tall Juan, Dirty Fences, Tough Shits, Max Pain & The Groovies, Daddy Long Legs and lots more. There are also mystery lineups on August 4 and 11. The bands start at 8 PM and then it becomes a free dance party after 10 PM, going till late.

You can make a full day of it with Union Pool's free Summer Thunder series on Sunday afternoons this year.
Hank Wood & The Hammerheads will also play Hardcore Hell fest in Brooklyn in August.
