James Murphy’s wine bar Four Horsemen expanding into old Larry Lawrence space
James Murphy's Williamsburg restaurant and wine bar Four Horsemen, which just celebrated its fourth anniversary, is expanding into the space next door that used to be home to speakeasy bar Larry Lawrence (which closed in August of 2018). According to Eater, the space will become a bar and all-day cafe that will be called Night Moves. (James is a Bob Seger fan, good to know.) A member of the community board also tells Eater that Four Horsemen's liquor license has been approved to extend into the new space, which will be a coffee bar in the daytime and a cocktail bar at night. The plan for the new space is to be open until 4 AM and they'll apparently serve the Four Horsemen's menu too. As the small restaurant is packed most nights, this probably is welcome news for diners.
No word on when Night Moves will open. Maybe it will be featured in Master of None, too. Stay tuned.
