Eugene Mirman got out of the self-titled comedy festival business last year, passing the torch to Janelle James. She's back for a second year and the 2019 Janelle James Comedy Festival will happen December 5-7 at The Bell House in Brooklyn.

December 5 is "Comedians That Don't Owe Me Money" which will be hosted by Janelle and features Sam Morril (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan), Hadiyah Robinson (Comedy Central, BET), Abi Sanchez (Laugh Factory Chicago), and more TBA.

December 6's show is "A Black Ass Show with Open Mike Eagle & Baron Vaughn." The New Negros' hosts will welcome Yassir Lester (Girls, The Carmicheal Show, Showtime's Black Monday), Kevin Iso (Adam Devine’s House Party), Janelle James, and more.

And finally on December 7 it's "Comedians Who Flewed Out" which is hosted by Marie Faustin and Sydnee Washington and features Jaboukie Young-White (The Daily Show, Big Mouth, American Vandal), Ayo Edebiri (Time Out NY's Top Comics To Watch in 2019), Kristen Toomey (I'm Upset! podcast), and more.
