Janelle Monae has dropped off the lineup of Boston Calling because of a "scheduling conflict." "Sadly, due to a scheduling conflict, I am unable to perform at 2019 Boston Calling," she writes in a statement. "All my love to my fandroids, and best of luck to the Boston Calling organizers on a sure to be amazing festival."

UPDATE: Black Star also cancelled their Friday set at Boston Calling, citing "unforseen circumstances."

Chvrches have been added to the Friday (5/24) lineup to replace Janelle, while Bear Hands replace Black Star. They'll join Lord Huron, Christine & The Queens, Yaeji, Gang of Youths, Turnstile, Adia Victoria, headliner Twenty One Pilots and more.

The 2019 edition of Boston Calling happens Memorial Day Weekend (May 24-26) at the Harvard Athletic Complex.

After playing both weekends of Coachella, Chvrches are on tour through August, including North America dates with Cherry Glazerr in April.
