Janelle Monae releases "Hum Along & Dance (Gotta Get Down)" off 'The Get Down' soundtrack

Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming musical drama about the birth of hip hop, The Get Down, is hitting Netflix this Friday (8/12). Ahead of its release, Janelle Monae premiered a new song “Hum Along & Dance (Gotta Get Down)” that she wrote for the show’s soundtrack. She samples The Jackson 5’s “Hum Along and Dance,” and Michael’s influence is felt loud and clear on this one. It premiered on Beats 1, along with an interview by Ebro Darden, and you can listen to that below.
