Janet Weiss announces first Quasi shows since her car accident

Janet Weiss played her first show behind a drum kit since her car accident as part of Yo La Tengo’s annual Hanukkah run at Bowery Ballroom in December. Now she’s announced that she and Sam Coomes will take Quasi on the road this year. “It’s time to jump back in and try a few little tours,” Janet writes. “I am over the moon excited (and a bit scared) to be playing Quasi shows again. We couldn’t be happier to reschedule the dates we had to cancel after the accident last August.”

Dates kick off April 22 in Vancouver and then hit Seattle, Portland and Tacoma; then in July, Quasi will play California shows in Oakland, Palm Springs, Costa Mesa, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, January 31 at 10 AM local time. All dates are listed below.

Janet left Sleater-Kinney last year just weeks before the release of their new album The Center Won’t Hold.
