Jarvis Cocker is teasing something

It’s been nine years since Jarvis Cocker released a proper solo album. Is the former Pulp frontman finally returning to making music? We don’t know, but today he posted the above image on his Instagram account that says “JARV iS…” and commenting, “It’s true. I will explain what this means on Tuesday. #teaseme”.  (It’s also the same font as he used on 2009’s Further Complications.) Whatever it is — a memoir wouldn’t be out of the question either — we will find out on March 13.

Jarvis had a busy 2017. In addition to the album he made with Chilly Gonzalez, he appeared on Feist’s “Century,” he helped out with the KLF’s three-day Liverpool festival, remixed Baxter Dury, covered Nick Cave’s “Red Right Hand” with Iggy Pop, and brought his BBC 6 radio show “Sunday Service” to a close.

His instagram is pretty entertaining, by the way, and well worth following. A few recent posts, and the video for his solo single “Don’t Let Him Waste r Time,” below.
