Jarvis Cocker's U.S. tour kicked off w/ 2 nights in San Francisco (pics, setlist, video)

Jarvis Cocker‘s West Coast tour, his first solo tour in nine years, kicked off with two nights at The Chapel in San Francisco on October 4 & 5. Like his spring UK tour, he and his band are being billed as “JARV IS…” and are playing a set of mostly new songs, including “Sometimes I Am a Pharaoh,” “Elvis Has Left the Building,” “Must I Evolve” and “Swanky Modes” (is Jarvis a Tapeheads fan?). He’s throwing in a few older songs, too, including “Fat Children” and his song from Children of Men which will likely never be anything but relevant, “Cunts Are Still Running the World.” He’s also playing Pulp’s “His ‘N’ Hers.” You can check out setlists for both nights at The Chapel, plus a few more pics and Instagram video of “His ‘N’ Hers” and “Cunts Are Still Running the World,” below.

Jarvis is sticking around the Bay Area to play Mill Valley, CA tonight, and then hits Santa Cruz, Los Angeles and then next weekend’s Desert Daze fest. All dates are listed below.
