Jawbreaker not playing Sound on Sound 2017

People are rightfully wondering if the reunited Jawbreaker will announce any more shows now that Riot Fest has confirmed that they’ve got the band on their Chicago lineup.

Riot Fest quickly claimed they have the exclusive reunion gig (for now?), but maybe people missed that or just don’t believe it.

Austin-area fest Sound on Sound (fka Fun Fun Fun Fest) would naturally be one of the places Jawbreaker might play one day, but the fest’s organizers want people to know that it’s not in the cards for this year, and that Riot Fest do seem to be telling the truth. SOS sent out this message today:

DEAR YOU:

Diehard SOS and FFF fans that have always asked for us to book Jawbreaker year over year (which we’ve always attempted to do), we just wanted to let you know that Jawbreaker will not be playing SOS Fest this fall.

Chicago is being listed as their only show, for now, as you may have read. We didn’t want you to miss getting tickets, if you’re inclined to travel to it. Let’s all hope they enjoy doing it enough to do more in 2018! It’s gonna be a sing along!
