UPDATE: Longer statement:

Jawbreaker and Live Nation have decided to postpone the shows scheduled for this Friday 9/14 at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island, NY and Saturday 9/15 at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ. With the impending hurricane headed to the East Coast, We had to act with you in mind. With people traveling from all over the Eastern Seaboard, we felt it was best to protect them and at the very least save them from likely delays, cancellations and overall hassle of a potential last minute cancellation (for instance, Stone Pony summer stage will shut own at first lightning). Rather than risk it, we are announcing now to give people time to change their plans.

We are rescheduling dates now. Stay tuned for new information via Live Nation and the Jawbreaker socials.

We are bummed but vow to make it up to you. Ticket holders will be able to attend one of either of the venues we land on in New York and New Jersey.

Now that War On Women are free on Saturday, they'll instead open the Brooklyn show for their tourmates, the legendary Subhumans, which happens at Knitting Factory (9/15) that same night (tickets). All Torn Up and Escasos Recursos are also on the bill.

The reunited Jawbreaker also have San Francisco and Chicago shows scheduled for this fall.
