Two Minutes To Late Night

Jay Weinberg + mems of Royal Thunder, High On Fire, Mutoid Man cover Springsteen for '2M2LN'

The Two Minutes to Late Night quarantine covers series continued on Sunday (6/21) with a special Father’s Day edition. One of the musicians tapped for this one was former Against Me! / current Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg, and they covered Bruce Springsteen‘s “Candy’s Room” as a Father’s Day gift for Jay’s father Max Weinberg, the longtime drummer of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

Also on board were Mlny Parsonz (Royal Thunder), Stephen Brodsky (Mutoid Man, Cave In), Jeff Matz (High On Fire), Emily Lee (Shearwater), and your host, Gwarsenio Hall, and they did a metalfied version of the song and sounded pretty great. Watch below.

Two Minutes To Late Night writes:

Pork roll, egg, and cheese! We helped Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg make a father’s day gift for his dad (Bruce Springsteen’s drummer and comedy legend Max Weinberg!!!) but frankly, this gift is for everyone. So grab a denim jacket, wear a face mask, and stay out of those BADLANDS!

This is our tenth bedroom cover made with the support of Patreon.
